My Methods

Updated: Jan 25, 2022

Hello Everyone,

I just thought I’d sit down and tell you all a bit about my methods and the resources I use.

I believe that with the correct exercise and activities it is possible to correct the behavioural issues of your animals. Animal welfare is at the forefront of what I do and I hope to be able to improve the experiences of all the dogs I train.

I have over 10 years’ experience in animal care and have been fortunate enough to have raised 5 wonderful dogs from infancy.

Safety and correct management are my primary concerns whilst caring for all animals and I always have their best interests in mind. I understand that the dogs I train are members of their families and therefore they are cared for with the highest regard. I feel incredibly privileged to spend time with the dogs I walk and build relationships with them.

I am always studying different positive, reward-based training methods with various institutes. Such as the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), the Dog Training College and Absolute Dogs. I know that expanding my knowledge of dog training will give me a deeper insight into dog psychology and allow me to help my clients understand their dogs.

For my clients with spaniel, HPR and retriever breeds I use lots of gun dog training methods. I keep this training positive and rewarding for the dog as often with high drive breeds gun dog exercises are a positive outlet for their energy.

I have also started courses in Canine Nutrition as often behaviour and diet are linked and I would love to advise with a holistic approach. Holistic meaning “whole” taking into consideration the whole dog, the environment and the diet when training.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about my services or if you would like to book a consultation with me. I’d love to sit down over a cup of tea and get to know all about your companions!
